What if I’ve never danced before or have “two left feet”?

We specialize in teaching beginners and making dance accessible for everyone! Our instructors use step-by-step methods to ensure you feel comfortable and confident, even if you’ve never danced before. It’s all about enjoying the journey.

As a beginner, how long will it take me to become a comfortable dancer?

Once you complete our Starter Program and move up to the Foundation Level, you’ll have gained enough skill and knowledge to start feeling comfortable on the dance floor. Most students reach this point within 3-6 months, depending on their commitment and lesson frequency. At this stage, you'll be ready to enjoy social dancing with confidence!

Am I too old to start learning ballroom dancing?

Absolutely not! In fact, ballroom dancing is one of the few dance styles that’s perfect for any age and any level of commitment, as it doesn’t require intense physical conditioning. Plus, it has been shown to positively impact brain function, making it especially beneficial for older adults. Whether you're in your 20s or your 80s, you can enjoy and thrive in ballroom dancing!

How do I know which program is best for me or my child?

We recommend starting with an introductory private lesson, where we’ll assess abilities, discuss goals, and recommend the perfect program to help you or your child succeed—whether it’s group classes, private lessons, or a mix of both.

Are private lessons the main focus of your programs?

Yes, our programs are designed around private lessons, where you get personalized, one-on-one instruction that builds your skills effectively. Group classes, workshops, dance parties, events, and competitions are additional experiences that complement private lessons and provide a fun, social environment to enhance your learning.

Do I need a partner to sign up for dance lessons?

No partner? No problem! Many of our students come solo. Our private lessons pair you with a professional instructor, and our group classes are designed to mix and match participants so everyone has the opportunity to dance and learn.

What should I wear for my first class?

Comfort is key! For your first class, wear something you can move comfortably in—nothing too tight or too loose. Ladies, feel free to wear low heels, and men can wear leather-soled shoes. But don’t worry if you don’t have the right shoes—just bring yourself and a positive attitude!
